Questions About The Coffee Hound App?

As many of you know, we at the Coffee Hound, in partnership with LoyalTree, recently launched the new Coffee Hound app.

Understandably, this transition has come with many questions, and hopefully we can answer most of them here through the following FAQs.

Have my points and rewards carried over to the new app? YES! All the information in your old LoyalTree account, including points and rewards, has transferred to the new Coffee Hound App.

How do I download and login to the new Coffee Hound App:

  1. Search for “The Coffee Hound” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Download the The Coffee Hound application
  3. Tap the green “Email” Button OR login with Facebook (if that was how you logged into LoyalTree).
  4. Type in your Email and Password used to login to the LoyalTree app. Your user name is the same email address that notified you of the new application.
  5. If you do not remember your password, please use the “Forgot Password” link.
  6. Once you login, make sure to look out for an email from The Coffee Hound so that you can verify your email address. Your existing points and rewards will be in your account upon logging in and verifying your email address.

What if I have logged in but do not see my old points and rewards?

  1. First, make sure you logged into the new Coffee Hound App the way you logged into your old LoyalTree App. For example, if you previously logged into your LoyalTree App using your Gmail account, but now login to your new Coffee Hound App using Facebook, your points will not show up. However, if you login using your Gmail account, they should be there.
  2. If you are using the same means of logging into your new Coffee Hound App that you used for logging into your old LoyalTree App, but do not see your old points, try refreshing your app.
  3. If this does not work, or you cannot remember how you previously logged into the app, please contact LoyalTree support at 877-737-7366 or accounts@loyaltree.com.

Once I have downloaded my new Coffee Hound App, how do I use it?

  1. Points: Your current point total is listed on the app’s home screen.
  2. Scan: Tap to scan your QR codes and earn points.
  3. Store: View the reward store; purchase and redeem your rewards.
  4. Menu: Access your profile, recent activity, push notification settings, messages, the customer support section, and more!

How long do I have to scan the QR code on my receipt? How frequently can I scan my receipts? How long are my rewards valid for?

  1. You have 24 hours to scan the QR code on your receipt.
  2. There is a ten minute hold time between when you can scan two receipts.
  3. Purchased rewards are valid for 90 days. Joining rewards and birthday rewards are valid for 30 days.

I am receiving an error message.  What does it mean?

  1. “We are receiving your transaction, please try scanning in a few minutes”: LoyalTree has not received your transaction yet.
  2. “Maximum Attempts for this Activity”: If you try to scan more than one receipt per 10 minute period, you will receive this message.
  3. “Code has Expired”: If you try scanning a receipt after 24 hours, you will receive this message.
